Nainital is one of the most famous places one has to see near Haridwar.
Bikhad :- This is a small village near the Nainital, in Uttarakhand. There is a temple and the fact that he lived here till he attained eternal Peace. The Shive is a temple at the source of the Bahri river. Mahan Waterfalls is located at Someshwar and is a picturesque spot. The water fall drops from 10 m high and is also called Dudhsagar because the water looks white like milk. There is also a bird sanctuary and is supposed to be a bird watchers paradise. October to march is the best season to visit the place. There are some more places to see in and around Nainital like Saptashringi Devi Temple, Bhandardaraa hill station, The Muktidham Temple which is located about 7 kms from the Nainital station etc.

The total Distance by train is 12 kilometers. Trai Exp starts from haridwar Central Railway Station at 9:30 pm and reach Nainital station at 7:30am. But it is bid tedious. Uttarakhand State transport buses or several private buses are easily available from Majestic Bus Stand. State buses are good and even you will get them in good frequencies. If you get into deluxe super fast buses then it will cost you more.
