Uttar Pradesh, the fourth largest state of the northern part of India is one of the ancient places of Indian art and culture. From Vedic age Uttar Pradesh is famous for its arts and crafts. Many archaelogical elements were excavated from this state .To preserve the ancient art and archaelogical elements many Museums were established in this state.Apart from that there are several educational museums in the state.Some major Museums are: Archaeological Museum, Lucknow: The Archaeological Museum, located at Lucknow was established in 1960 and contains several types of Plaster casts, models, seals, coins, terracotta etc

 

Bal Sangrahalaya, Lucknow: Bal Sangrahalaya, located at Motilal Nehru Marg is a well-known children Museum. It houses scientific models paintings, sculptures etc.

 

Bharat Kala Bhavan: Located inside the campus of Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh Bharat Kala Bhavan is one of the famous storehouses of Indian Heritage.

 

Botany Museum: Botany Museum, located at Jaunpur is one of the famous Botanical Museums of India.
