Founded in 1488 AD by the Rathore prince,
Rao Bikaji- a descendant
of the founder of Jodhpur. This is a true desert city and situated on the
ancient caravan routes which linked West / Central Asia and north India with

Mahal, Karan Mahal, Phool Mahal and Chandra Mahal.

30 km from Bikaner on the Jodhpur road, see the miracle temple of
Karni
Mata presiding deity of the royal house of Bikaner. An interesting
feature RATS are the worshipper of
Karni Mata, an incarnation of
goddess Durga in the form of
BARDS and are present in large numbers
within the precincts of the temple, thus also known as
Rat Temple.

Katariasar Village- lies 45 km on Bikaner -
Jaipur highway. This village is place of origin of
Jasnathis ( sadhu ),
the followers of
Saint Jasnath, who dance on fire in group of 20-30
people bare foot. The mud houses, colourful huts, traditional costumes of
ladies, sand dunes and sun set point are main attractions. Also see wild
animals like deer, antelopes, Rabbits, foxes, jackals and birds as
partridge, peacock etc.
